Currently Hiring:
Revit Drafter (3 years experience)
As a Revit drafter you will:
- Work with structural engineering staff to prepare an accurate Revit model of the project’s structural components.
- Create structural plans and construction details from sketches and markups provided by structural engineers.
- Work with clients to coordinate Revit models between various consultants on the project team.
- Submit plans for building permits to building departments in various jurisdictions.
- Field work to measure existing structures and create plans based on the field information.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Have a strong attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communicator and work well with other team members.
- Have a proven ability to produce a clear and accurate set of construction drawings.
- Highly proficient in Revit.
- A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in the Architecture/Engineering industry required

Structural Designer I (0-2 years experience)
As a structural designer I you will:
- Determine structural systems with licensed engineers
- Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings with supervision
- Review work with supervising engineers
- Write reports/letters under direct supervision of senior engineers
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Preferred to have passed Fundamental of Engineering exam and have Engineer in Training certificate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

- Communicate effectively & professionally with senior engineers & clients regarding status of new & ongoing projects
- Pay attention to client expectations & scope adjustments, work closely with senior engineers
- Perform research & conduct field investigations
Qualifications/Competencies:

- PE license & 3+ years of experience is required

The vision of Independence Station was a retail/commercial center that offered the best in sustainable development, efficient office space, and the latest in green construction technology. This LEED project required careful consideration of the structural systems as they relate to the sustainability aspects of the building.
MCE provided the engineering design for the structural systems of the building. The structure utilized the latest technology in precast concrete shear walls, cast-in-place concrete shear walls, and Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) shear walls.
